Ladies Lunch: YWCA Spokane

  • YWCA Spokane 930 North Monroe Street Spokane, WA, 99201 United States (map)

This October, join Vested and YWCA Spokane for a meaningful Ladies Lunch in honor of Domestic Violence Action Month. Gather with fellow women in business for a free and thoughtfully prepared lunch while engaging in an important conversation about safety, advocacy, and community care.

This event continues the momentum sparked at Fête en Rouge, where our Vested community rallied together to raise over $10,000 in support of YWCA Spokane’s mission. Whether or not you attended the Fête, this lunch offers a powerful opportunity to deepen your understanding of the issues, connect with others, and take tangible action.

Our featured speaker, Jemma Riedel-Johnson, Community Engagement Lead at YWCA Spokane, will guide us through how to recognize the signs of domestic violence and share tools for supporting those affected. We’ll also hear from Briana Berner, Interim Director of Philanthropy, about how individuals and businesses can meaningfully partner with YWCA Spokane to support survivors and help break the cycle of abuse.

If you're able, we encourage you to bring a donation to support YWCA programs. High-need items include:

For the drop-in childcare center:

  • New or gently used toys (ages 0–12)

  • Kids’ snacks

  • Baby formula

  • Diapers

For the women’s clothing boutique and domestic violence shelter:

  • Full-size hygiene products

  • New socks, bras, and underwear

Together, we can learn, connect, and take action to prevent domestic violence and build a stronger, safer Spokane for all.

A calendar invite will be sent to all attendees. We hope you’ll join us.

Location: 930 N Monroe St, Spokane, WA 99201 on the Rooftop Patio if it’s sunny and warm, weather backup will be in the Comstock Room.
