Entrepreneur Speed Dating: Horror Stories

THE WOMEN’S CLUB OF SPOKANE, OCTOBER 2026

It turns out there really is no better way to bond than over shared “horror” stories. This round of speed networking for female entrepreneurs was all about the small business owner experiences that make you want to draw the shades and turn out the lights. Toxic clients, nightmare employee exits, the mother-in-law still asking about the “little side hustle,” and of course, the landlord who wanted to speak to the husband who doesn’t even own the business [cue horror movie scream]. Been there, sister.

Dressed in all black, guests started the evening in good company with delicious bites by Fresh Plate and beverages from The Bubble Bar, while the talented teams from Electric Photoland, Emily Star Poole, and House of Social captured the moments that mattered. Then it was time for some speedy conversations that went well beyond small talk, swapping stories and ideas with women who truly get it.

Everyone left with new contacts and a reminder that you’re never in this alone.
