Giving Back with White Dog Coffee

Every business owner in this community has watched the last several days unfold the same way: glued to updates, checking on friends, wondering what's actually within reach to help. For Tori and Corey Schrock and the team at White Dog Coffee, the answer came fast, because for them this isn't an abstract crisis. They're Spokane locals raising a family here. The neighborhoods affected aren't pins on a map, they're where Corey's own childhood memories were made.

That's the spirit behind “One Day for Spokane.” This Thursday, August 13, every White Dog Coffee location is donating 100 percent of the entire day's proceeds to local families affected by the fires.

If your morning coffee run was already on the calendar, this is the easiest way to make it count for something more. Bring a friend or share a coffee with someone who hasn't heard yet. If you're in a position to add a little extra on top, that helps too.

White Dog isn't asking to be the only business in the room. They're calling on other local shops, cafes, and small businesses to join in, whether that means donating proceeds of your own, matching funds, or simply pointing your customers toward Thursday's effort.
