Lilac + Linen VIP Dinner
BARN & BLOSSOM, MAY 2026
Mother Nature decided on other plans for this quarter’s Vested VIP Dinner! Not only did the lilacs (of said Lilac and Linen Dinner) bloom three weeks too early, but we had the storm of the year and ended up making a last-minute pivot from a field on the Palouse to the cozy Quail at Barn & Blossom. A huge thank you to Trish and Casey, owners of this beautiful nursery, event venue, and short-term rental cottage. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to shelter from the storm with a delicious meal and wonderful company.
Bringing back one of our favorites, Greenbluff Fresh Catering Co, Sabrina and her team curated the most incredible dinner for us. I’ll share the menu so you can have a little FOMO:
We started with butter-garlic morels (foraged locally of course) with ricotta and microgreens on a crispy sourdough slice. The second course was an amazing chicken roulade stuffed with prosciutto, cheeses, fresh peas, herbs, lemon zest, drizzled with hollandaise sauce and chive-parsley oil. Served over saffron rice and roasted asparagus. The icing on the cake was truly the fluffy pavlovas with a lemon curd mascarpone whipped cream, raspberries, pistachios and lilac flowers (which Sabrina freeze-dried so that we could still have lilacs featured in our dinner). I’ll let you pause to pat the drool off your lip ;)
What transpired was an evening of connection, inspiration, and laughter. We had women making big moves this summer, babies on the way, business owners navigating the season with kids at home ahead, and women figuring out what to do next with their businesses. It is such a gift to get to watch each of you grow, pivot, and align in so many meaningful ways.
